Chitosan Usage

1. As a preservative and thickening agent. In the food industry is a natural, non-toxic preservative, flocculant, and can adsorb water cadmium, mercury, copper and other heavy metal ions.

2. Used as industrial wastewater and municipal sewage treatment agent, precipitation agent. Thickening agent, stabilizer, gelling agent, binder.

3. It is also used for anti-mildew of acidic substances, forming a transparent semi-permeable film on the surface. Used for curing products, baking products, bread, oily food, etc.

4. Chitosan is a biocompatible, antibacterial and biodegradable polyelectrolyte with a wide range of biomedical and industrial applications.
