Usage
Ethylhexanoic acid can be used as an intermediate for paints and coatings drying agents, as a modifier for alkyd resins, in the production of peroxides as a catalyst for polymerization reactions, and as a stabilizer for lubricating oil esters and PVC. Its salts are used as drying agents for paints and coatings, and its esters are used as plasticizers and raw materials for benzylpenicillin carboxylate.
